Annual NUTRIM symposium 2017

Annual Nutrim Symposium 2017 & 25 Year Anniversary

We look forward to meet you at the Annual NUTRIM symposium to show recent scientific achievements, to exchange ideas and to stimulate interaction and collaboration. Last but not least an important part of the programme is reserved for NUTRIM’s PhD Students who will present their projects.

This year’s theme is 'Nutrition & Metabolism: Translation in action'. The best known definition of ‘translation’ is the conversion of words from one language into another. However, ‘translation’ actually has many more definitions and should therefore be generalized to the conversion of something from one form into another, which includes the conversion of scientific knowledge; basic scientific findings in a laboratory are converted into effective preventive measures, better diagnosis or potential treatments for disease. To reach this goal, translational research combines disciplines, resources, expertise and techniques. This combination is actually reflecting the nature of our research school and therefore NUTRIM is a unique place where translational research is put into action. Already for 25 years, NUTRIM is promoting translational research at the bench-side and bedside, to serve the community. At our 25th anniversary meeting, we would like to show you our achievements.
